Packing List for a Wedding Day
Now that your wedding day is drawing near, you may be feeling anxious about all the things that may go wrong. The last thing you want to do is forget to pack something for your big day. The best way to ensure that you don't forget anything is to make a detailed list for your wedding day.
-
Clothing
-
Create a list of all clothing items you need for the day. The major pieces to include are the wedding gown; veil, tiara or headpiece; undergarments; shoes; hosiery; and other clothing you plan to wear at the reception. Consider packing flats or other comfortable shoes to wear at your reception in case your feet get sore.
Toiletries
-
Pack makeup and hair products, if you do not plan to have your hair and makeup done professionally. Bring deodorant, a toothbrush, hair spray, tampons, moist towelettes, perfume, powder and lipstick. Extras like hair clips, a blow dryer, a curling iron and moisturizer might also make it on your list.
-
The Essentials
-
Don't forget any of the essential items that you've spent months shopping for. In a specially marked bin, pack your wedding bands, ring bearer pillows, garter, other jewelry, toasting glasses, guest book, favors, cake knife and flower baskets for flower girls. Visualize your wedding and all of the props you plan to feature, then write these down on your list. Entrust the box of essentials to a responsible wedding party member, such as your maid of honor.
The "Just in Case" Items
-
Your "just in case" list should include any item you might need to help you avoid a problem that could ruin your day. Include basic items like a sewing kit, buttons, pins, extra nylons, tissues, mints, antacids, aspirin and dental floss. This way you'll be prepared for any wardrobe malfunction that may come your way.
