Homemade Baby Shower Corsage Ideas
Baby showers often include a variety of favors such as corsages for guests to wear during the festivities. While such corsages can be purchased from baby shower websites, you can also make your own to the delight of your guests. Assorted baby items such as baby booties can be used to construct of variety of corsages.

Bootie Rose Corsage

Corsages can be constructed from baby booties by turning the booties inside out. The bootie must be rolled from the bottom (the toe) toward the top until there is about 3/4 inch of the roll left. The top of the bootie is then pulled around the roll. The bootie rose should come out open and round when finished. Diaper pins and ribbon may be used to attach the bootie rose to the wrist. Booties of any color may be used, depending on shower theme.
Baby Toy Corsage

Baby toys such as rattles, pacifiers, small plush animals and teething rings can be used to create corsages. Large diaper pins can be used with strands of assorted ribbon or strips of lace tied to the pins. The ribbon or lace is then tied to the baby item. The same toy and type of ribbon or lace may be used for the corsages using a different or several different toys and pieces of ribbon and lace may also be used.

"Church Baby" Corsage

Church baby corsages are small fabric doll corsages that are made with baby or little girl socks, preferably those with lace trim. Socks must be filled with craft stuffing or cotton balls with the open end tied securely with pieces of thread. Stitch near the toe of the sock and on the sides to create arms and legs. Pieces of ribbon can be tied around the socks to form a doll neck. The lace trim of the sock works as a baby bonnet. Fabric paint or stitches can be used to make a doll face. Diaper pins and ribbon finish this corsage.
Flower Corsage

Small arrangements of real flowers may be used for this corsage. Floral glue should be used to arrange the flowers and to attach the flowers to a handmade wire bracelet made from aluminum craft wire. Such wire is easily bendable to fit any wrist size. A variety of flowers featuring many colors may be used or one type of flower only. A variety of different flowers of the same color is another option.
