Things to Mix With Cherry Vodka

Cherry vodka is simply vodka infused with cherry flavor. Follow a recipe for a cherry flavored cocktail or just add cherry vodka to basic mixers such as cola, lemon-lime soda, club soda, orange juice or tonic water. Combine cherry vodka and crème de cacao (a chocolate liqueur) for a drink that tastes like chocolate-covered cherries. Cocktail and shot recipes take more effort but the taste is worth it. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Cherry Bomb

    • To make a cherry bomb, pour 1 oz. cherry vodka and 3 oz. energy drink into a shot glass. Add a splash of grenadine slowly; this will cause the syrup to sink to the bottom and give the shot a layered look.

    Cherry Martini

    • To make a cherry martini, shake 1 oz. cherry vodka, 1 oz. cherry schnapps and 1 splash lemon-lime soda. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a cherry.

    Black and White Cherry

    • The black and white cherry cocktail tastes like a fancy version of a chocolate-covered cherry. Combine 1 oz. chocolate liqueur, 1 oz. white chocolate liqueur, 1 oz. heavy cream, 1 oz. cherry vodka, 1 oz. vanilla vodka, 2 scoops chocolate ice cream and 13 ice cubes. Blend all the ingredients until the drink is creamy and pour into a Collins glass. Garnish with whipped cream and a cherry.

    Laugh a Minute

    • This cocktail is strong and sweet so be prepared for a kick. Shake 1 oz. cherry vodka, 1 oz. rosso vermouth and ½ oz. amaretto almond liqueur. Strain into an old-fashioned glass that is half full of ice. Fill to the top with lemonade and serve.

    Cherry Blossom

    • A cherry blossom cocktail can be made with cherry vodka or black cherry vodka. Fill a Collins glass with ice cubes, then add 2 oz. cherry vodka. Pour in 5 oz. orange juice, a splash of sweet and sour mix and a dash of grenadine and serve.

    Cherry Lime-Aid

    • Turn a childhood favorite into an adult friendly beverage with a cherry lime-aid. Fill a highball glass with ice and add 2 ½ oz. cherry vodka. Squeeze two lime wedges into the glass and leave the wedges in the drink. Add a splash of sours mixture and fill to the top with lemon-lime soda. Garnish with two cherries.

    Cherry Long Island

    • For a cherry infused twist on a classic, try this Cherry Long Island. Shake 1 oz. white rum, 1 oz. gin, 1 oz. cherry vodka, ½ oz. triple sec, ½ oz. cherry juice and ½ oz. sours mix and strain into a pint glass filled with ice. Add lemon-lime soda to the top of the glass and garnish with a cherry and lemon wedge.
