Easy Meals for a Week of Camping
Camping is always a fun and exciting activity for a family or friends vacation. One problem many groups run into is making meals that do not involve the appliances and tools found in your kitchen. But, many easy meal recipes help you make great food while your party enjoys the natural beauty of the outdoors.

Scrambled Potatoes
-
Scrambled potatoes are a great meal for any time of the day. Pre-boil some potatoes at home and bring them along on your camping trip. This helps them cook faster when preparing the meal outdoors. Place the pre-boiled potatoes in a frying pan over an open fire. Add some vegetable oil and let the potatoes cook until they turn brown. Add onion, garlic and sweet peppers. You can add any vegetables or other ingredients you want. Popular options include zucchini, squash, eggplant, mushroom and tomatoes. After the vegetables finish cooking, add some salt and pepper for taste. The final touch for these scrambled potatoes is some cheese, such as cheddar, Swiss, American or even gorgonzola. Let the cheese melt and serve.
Pasta Bar
-
Pre-cook a few different types of pasta noodles at home and bring them along on the trip. Also, purchase some pasta sauces from the store. Bring a couple pots on the trip, and warm up the pasta and sauce over a fire or portable stove. Once everything is heated up, place them on the table so everyone can mix and match their favorite combinations of pasta. Bring along some Parmesan cheese for added taste.

Sausage
-
Purchase a few different types of sausages, buns and condiments at the store before your trip. Sausage can come in many different types of meats and flavors; this allows for plenty of variety. On the trip, cook the sausages over an open fire for an added outdoors experience. Toast the buns lightly over the fire and allow everyone to make their favorite sausage hot dogs.
Camp Burritos
-
In a large skillet, cook some ground sirloin. Add cumin, salt, pepper and salsa for flavor. Add some defrosted spinach for additional flavor. Heat some tortillas over an open skillet. Once the meat mixture is done cooking, place the mixture in the tortillas. Add some grated cheese and roll up the burritos.
