LED watches for men are a space-age alternative to the traditional two-handed or digital varieties. They were first introduced to the market in 1970 and have grown in popularity ever since. Like other types of watches, there is a large selection available, with some makes and models proving to be more popular than others. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. LED Binary Watch

    • This is a very popular watch that shows time in binary format. It has 10 LED lights on the clock face that have to be added together to find out the time. The upper row of LEDs counts the hours, the lower row counts the minutes. The watch is water resistant to up to 100 feet and retails at around $69 (as of 2011).

    Barcode SS Watch

    • The Tokyo Flash Barcode SS watch is a leading seller. It is big and bright, although it takes a certain amount of mathematical skill to actually tell the time. According to Watchesinfoniac, "Between the hours of 6 p.m. and 1 a.m. the lights randomly flash for a few of seconds every minute. When the owner of the watch presses the time button, the lights in the four columns of the watch's face randomly flash for a few seconds before they display the time." You can expect to pay around $150 for this LED watch (as of 2011).

    Ana-Digi Sport Watch

    • Made by Casio, the Ana-Digi Sport Watch has a world time zone function that allows the owner to know the time in 29 world time zones. It also comes with a daily alarm, stopwatch function, LED light with Afterglow and a calendar preprogrammed until 2099. This multifunction LED watch retails for $25 (as of 2011).

    One Man's Lightmare Fashion Watch

    • This stylish watch "is both technologically impressive and eye-paralyzing," according to Watchesinfoniac. Calculating the time is not easy with this watch. It may be necessary to read the instruction manual. This watch retails for $189 (as of 2011).
