Decorations and Invitations
-
Adorn the party venue or a room of your house with blue and purple streamers, balloons and tablecloths. If the budget allows, purchase trademarked Hannah Montana plates, cups and napkins. Otherwise, use plain colored plates. Create your own decorations by printing images of both Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montana to stick on the wall.
In lieu of pre-made invitations, take a photo of your child dressed like Hannah Montana, complete with a costume, wig and microphone, and another of your child dressed as she does on a normal day. Print or glue them to the front of a folded piece of card stock as an invitation. Write "It's no secret that ________ is having a birthday!" Include pertinent party information inside the card, such as the date, location, time and any RSVP instructions. Insert a separate piece of paper with directions if necessary and decorate the inside of the card with star and guitar stamps.
Games and Activities
-
Karaoke is an appropriate choice if you are able to get your hands on a Hannah Montana-only CD. Another option is to play some Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus tunes and allow the guests to sing along. Place a variety of dress-up items inside a pillowcase and play a hot potato game with the guests set to a Hannah Montana song. Guests sit in a circle and pass the pillowcase around. When the music stops, the person holding the pillowcase puts on one item from the bag. Play "pin the wig on Hannah" versus the traditional birthday party game of "pin the tail on the donkey." Keep a few coloring sheets and crayons on hand as an extra activity in case the others do not take as much time.

Cake and Food Ideas
-
Offer snacks and finger foods at the party, such as rice and marshmallow treats cut into the shape of stars, finger sandwich halves cut with a microphone cookie cutter and cookies in the shape of guitars. As a healthy option, stack fruit squares onto skewers, and end each skewer with a large strawberry to resemble a microphone.
Cupcakes are a fine option for younger children. Decorate the tops with gray icing and drizzle black piping over them in an contrasting zig-zag pattern so the top of the cupcake looks like the top of a microphone. Bake musical note cookies topped with icing. One other option is to bake one round cake and one rectangular cake. Place the cakes right next to each other on a display board, then carve and decorate them together as a microphone.
Party Favors
-
Purchase and sanitize various types of hats from a thrift store or look in the dollar store for traditional cowboy hats made of foam to fill with goodies such as glow bracelets, plastic necklaces, clip-on earrings, candy and toy microphones. If your budget allows, purchase one Hannah Montana or Miley Cyrus CD for each guest, or consider creating purchasing inexpensive picture frames and decorating them with glitter paint and foam stars. During the party, take photos of each guest and print them out from your home computer. Insert the photos into the homemade frames and give each person a photo of herself in a frame before she leaves.
