Crafts to Put in Your Dorm Room
Decorating your college dorm room is an exciting opportunity to make yourself comfortable and put your personal style on display. Handmade crafts will make the dorm seem more like home. Picture Frames

Nothing personalizes a room more than photos of family and friends, so put a decorated picture frame in your dorm room. Make your own frame out of scrapbook paper, ribbons and cardboard, or make a frame by cutting out a cardboard frame shape and covering it with batting and fabric. You could also buy a plain wooden frame, paint it a solid color, and then hot glue some buttons or ribbons onto it to match your bedding. You could also attach personal mementos, such as movie ticket stubs, newspaper clippings and personal notes from the special someone whose photo is in the frame.

You need sewing skills for this craft idea, or you can take fabric and instructions to a nearby dry cleaner or tailor for sewing help. Select a fabric that matches your bedding or decor. Decorate the organizer with iron-on transfers purchased from craft stores. Include a pocket made of clear plastic vinyl so that you can place a small calendar or photo inside it. Designate pockets for pens, note pads, paper clips and other desk supplies.
Laundry Bag

You'll be washing your own clothes in college, so make the chore more enjoyable with a cute laundry bag. Decorate a plain canvas laundry bag with iron-on transfers purchased from a craft store or printed from your computer.
