Princess Crown
-
Construct a beaded tiara from an old headband. Use an old headband, beads and a pipe cleaner to create a princess tiara. Wrap and twist the end of a pipe cleaner to one side of the middle of a head band. Thread colored beads onto the pipe cleaner and twist it around the headband again. Secure with a dab or two of hot glue, creating a small arch. Repeat with the same pipe cleaner two more times creating a total of three arches. Ensure that the pipe cleaner is twisted and secured tightly to avoid losing beads. Caution should be used when crafting with children younger than 3, as beads can be a choking hazard.
Magic Mirror
-
Create a hand-held mirror with your princess. Cut a hand-held mirror shape from a piece of cardboard or cardstock. The shape may look like a chicken drumstick with a skinny handle and a large bulb portion for the mirror. Measure the large part of the mirror outline and cut a piece of shiny Mylar a bit smaller than the dimensions of the mirror. Adhere with glue or rubber cement. Adorn with jewel stickers on the seams of the Mylar to keep it in place and add pizazz to the hand-held mirror craft.

Combine 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup salt, 3 tbsp. oil and a package of strawberry powdered drink mix. Add 1 cup of boiling water to the dry mixture and stir in 1 cup of fine glitter from the craft store. Work the mixture until a soft dough forms. Store in a sealed plastic bag or plastic container when not in use. The dough is nontoxic if eaten, but use caution while mixing as drink powder can stain clothing and skin.
