Punk Clothing Ideas
Clothing tells the world about who you are. Punk clothes scream it in their faces. There are many different aspects to punk fashion but first and foremost is the color black. Whatever you chose to wear, black should be a fundamental color. Another important aspect of punk fashion is what you are trying to say. Does this Spark an idea?

Rebellion

You can't go wrong with spiked leather. Punk clothes have always been a way to say "I don't want to listen to your rules." This takes the form of spiked jackets and bracelets that say "keep your distance." Leather in general portrays a rough demeanor that makes people at least acknowledge that you are different. Tough jackets, big belts (with even bigger belt buckles) and boots are all excellent outer layer choices. Spikes also mount best to leather so these all could have spiked varieties.
Recognition
-
In addition to your clothing choices, a pink mohawk represents punk culture. One of the mainstays of the punk wardrobe is the concert T-shirt. Almost always black with a band logo or album cover, not only do these look cool but they give punks a good topic to talk about. You can represent for a band you love or for a band you just saw. Maybe you want to wear your old Misfits shirt because you want to talk with other people who like what you do. Maybe you just like skulls.

Individuality
-
A big part of being punk is having the right attitude. Many punks dress tough to establish themselves as individuals. One of the best ways to do this is to make your own clothes, not necessarily from scratch but by modifying pieces you already own. Cut off the sleeves of T-shirts. Turn a jacket into a vest. Put patches all over your favorite jean jacket or even stencil a logo on the back of your leather jacket. You can tear your jeans, although naturally torn ones are far better. One of the fundamental ideals of true punks is not supporting big business. The more you can craft yourself, the cooler it is and the more recognition you will get for it.
Activism
-
How you lace your boots can tell people a lot about you. Many punks are in it for a cause. The punk community is very supportive of alternative lifestyles and many people like to show that support with their clothes. Sometimes it is accessories like pins supporting the LGBT community. Other times it's using pleathers and fake fur in support of animal rights or veganism. Symbols have meaning in punk culture so be aware of what you are saying before you go out. Your shoelaces alone could mean you are a supporter of anything from lesbian rights to neo-Nazis.
