Ways to Say Thank You to a Guy
Saying "thank you" is common courtesy when someone has done you a favor or given you a gift. It lets them know that you appreciate them and encourages similar behavior in the future. Thanking a guy is no different than thanking anyone else, except that you might want to personalize your thanks to suit his personality and preferences. Express your thanks in a way that he will understand and appreciate.

A heartfelt note or clever card provides tangible proof of your gratitude. A handwritten message is personal and thoughtful, going a step above a mass-produced thank-you card. The guy who receives one of these notes will have a keepsake that he can read over and over. It might be tempting to text or email your thanks, but while that's better than not thanking him at all, it lacks the personal touch of a written note.

Giving gifts can be a double-edged sword. Although it's a way to express your thanks, it can also result in the recipient's feeling obligated to give a gift in return. Find something meaningful and personal to give, keeping it inexpensive so the guy who receives it won't feel awkward or obligated to reciprocate. For example, collect a playlist of his favorite tunes, make him his favorite treat or offer to detail his car.

Spend some time with your guy to show him your thanks. Treat him to dinner and a movie, or splurge on tickets for the big game. Keep things casual with a walk along the beach, a picnic at a local park or a hike in the mountains. Concentrate on activities he enjoys, even if they aren't your first choice for recreation. Thank him by tailoring the date to his preferences and hobbies.

Express your thanks by simply saying the words face to face. Honesty and sincerity shine through when you put aside the games and speak your mind. If you're the creative type, you might want to say it in song or poetry, original or borrowed. However you present it, make it heartfelt. Look the guy in the eye and tell him what you are specifically thanking him for.
