Bloodshot Eyeballs
-
Turn your cupcakes into creepy, bloodshot eyeballs for a Halloween treat that will be both disgusting and delicious. Frost each cupcake with white frosting. Cover the white surface with "veins" made out of red and pink icing. Make the lines wiggly and rough; use different thicknesses to add depth. Make the eye centers using different colors of gummy candy rings; fill the centers of the rings with black or brown frosting. When arranged together on a tray, the eyeball cupcakes will make a strong visual statement on a buffet table.
Witches
-
For a cute, unexpected cupcake, make witches. Make cupcakes with tall tops that stick out high above the wrapper edge. Cover them with green frosting for the witch's skin. Make a hat out of a chocolate waffle cupcake placed upside down on top of the witch's face. Add hair using small strings of black licorice, eyes out of small red cinnamon candies and pointy noses out of candy corn. For an extra touch, use sprinkles to make angry, slanted eyebrows.

Fondant Ghosts
-
To add a charming, three-dimensional touch to your Halloween table, make ghost cupcakes. Find or make white fondant and roll it out into thin sheets. Use a circular cookie cutter or a bowl to cut out circles. Near the center, poke two small holes in the fondant for the ghost's eyes. Frost your cupcakes with chocolate frosting and lay the fondant over the top, bending the edges to make the flowing ghost shape. The chocolate will show through the eye holes, making sweet and spooky cupcakes.
Monster Faces
-
Turn your cupcake table into a display of your favorite Halloween characters with monster faces. Make skeletons using white frosting, white jellybeans for teeth, two square lines of frosting for the nose and black candies for eyes. Frost a cupcake in dark frosting, add two yellow eyes and cover loosely with lines of white frosting for a mummy face. You also can make Dracula faces with green frosting and fangs, pumpkins with orange frosting and black cutout faces or werewolves with piped towers of chocolate frosting for fur.
