Celebrities are often looking for new ways to obtain greater fame and extend their brand. One way they achieve this is by lending their name and image to various business ventures, including the perfume industry. Because consumers often identify with celebrities, licensing deals between perfume companies and celebrities have proven extremely lucrative. Celine Dion, who has a licensing deal with Coty, Inc. has released 14 fragrances as of March 2011. Celine Dion, Belong, Enchanting, Sensational Moments and Simply Chic are some of her best-selling scents.
As of March 2011, Mariah Carey has released nine fragrances, most of them as part of a deal with Elizabeth Arden. Some of her fragrances include M, Luscious Pink, Forever and Lollipop Bling Honey.
Britney Spears has also released nine different fragrances as of 2011, many of them also in collaboration with Elizabeth Arden. Her list of fragrances include Curious by Britney Spears, Fantasy, Midnight Fantasy, Circus Fantasy and Radiance.
Other female musicians who have released fragrances include Avril Lavigne, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani. Rihanna, Katy Perry, Shakira, Fergie, Jessica Simpson, Jordin Sparks, Faith Hill, Shania Twain, Queen Latifah, Hilary Duff and Mary J Blige.

Between 1988 and 2010, Elizabeth Taylor and Elizabeth Arden collaborated to release 12 of the most successful fragrances by a celebrity. These fragrances include Passion, White Diamonds, Black Pearls, Gardenia and Violet Eyes.
Jennifer Lopez has released 16 fragrances as of March 2011 as part of a licensing deal with Coty, Inc. Some of her most successful fragrances include Glow, Still, Deseo and Love and Glamour.
Sarah Jessica Parker, who also has a licensing deal with Coty, Inc. released eight fragrances between 2005 and 2009, including Lovely, Covet, SJP NYC, Endless and Twilight.
As of March 2011, Halle Berry has released three fragrances for Coty, Inc., including Halle, Halle Pure Orchid and Reveal.
Other actresses who have released fragrances include Jennifer Aniston, Kate Walsh, Eva Longoria, Reese Witherspoon, Isabella Rossellini and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
