Proposal Ideas for Men
Asking someone to marry you is one of the most important questions you'll ever ask. In all likelihood, your sweetheart will say yes, starting the next phase of your relationship. Plan ahead when popping the question. Make the day you proposed and how you proposed a memory your significant other will always treasure.

Firsts
-
Relationships have many firsts. There's the first date, first kiss, first realization you were meant for each other, first time you went somewhere as a couple. Use the location of one of those important firsts as the place where you propose.
Flowers
-
Flowers by themselves can be romantic. Amp up the romance by using flowers as part of your proposal. Arrange for a florist to deliver three red roses while you're having dinner at your favorite restaurant. You also could arrange with the restaurant ahead of time for the waiter to deliver the roses. The first rose has a message on a gift card that says "Will," delivered with the salad. The second has a card attached that says "You," delivered with the entree. The third rose, delivered with dessert, has the final message of "Marry Me?" While she might guess that this is a proposal, the anticipation still builds until she receives the final rose and knows for sure. The dessert itself could be the proposal with words spelled out in chocolate sauce on a dinner-sized plate under the dessert. Slip the engagement ring to her while she's reading the message.

Sporting Events
-
If your special someone is a sports fanatic, arrange for your proposal to be delivered on the scoreboard. If the stadium won't allow that, buy a program and slip your written proposal on a note card on the page where the stats for the game are printed. Tip one of the vendors to wear a banner that says "Nancy, Will You Marry Me, Mike," or whatever your names are. In a small stadium for a minor league or high school team, it might be possible to have the game announcer pop the question during halftime or the seventh-inning stretch.
Everyday Life
-
Use the activities and hobbies that you do together as the opportunity to propose. If you cycle, put a note in her helmet that asks her. When you're golfing, give her a ball that says "Will You Marry Me?" Set up signs that form the question on your jogging route. Obtain permission from the homeowners if you plan on putting signs on private property.
Warning
-
If you're unsure that your sweetheart will say yes, don't ask in a public place. Neither you nor your significant other needs that added pressure. The answer might be yes, just out of embarrassment.
