Bridal Shower Games That Won't End Up in a Tie

The bridal shower can be fun, young and fresh with games to match.

The bridal shower is an opportunity for family and friends to share their advice, good wishes and love with the bride. The gathering may be traditional or modern, but games are usually a common thread among any type of shower. Many games are icebreakers or the result of joint efforts, therefore no one winner prevails. There are, however, some games that reward one individual or group indisputably to take home a lovely prize through healthy competition.

  1. Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Fashion Show

    • An extremely popular bridal shower game that has a definite winner chosen by the bride herself is the toilet paper wedding dress fashion show. The guests are divided into groups of at least two and at the most four. One person becomes the model. The group is given no more than three rolls of toilet paper. They have only a limited time to create a gorgeous wedding dress using only those supplies. At the end, each model must walk a "runway" set up in the space and the bride must choose a winner. The group will then receive a prize for the best dress.

    Who Knows the Couple Best

    • A questionnaire or trivia quiz with detailed facts and incidents that the bride or the couple has gone through from the time they met until the present will provide a definite winner for sure. It is not necessarily the person closest to them that will win, as usually the maid of honor and the bridesmaids are excluded from the games anyway. Whomever is able to get the most right answers wins and will receive a prize awarded by the bride.

    Bingo or Word Search

    • These two ideas are very similar and will more than likely not provide a tie. All the bingo sheets must be different and the word search should be relatively difficult so there will be only one winner. There should be a prize for these games as well.

    Purse Scavenger Hunt

    • This game will not end up in a tie as long as there are enough items on the list to ask the guests for. Ask each guest to hold their handbag up on their lap and begin asking them if they have random items inside. They must lay the items out on a table or on the floor in front of them so they can be seen. Items that are obvious such as a wallet, money, credit cards and makeup are simple, but more elaborate items like a sewing kit, gum, perfume and gift cards will announce the winner for this game.
