Kid's Church Resources
Keeping children engaged in church is not always simple. However, kids' church resources are readily available from church-affiliated organizations and suppliers, as well as online. Some services are free or available for a nominal fee. Finding the best kids' church resources for your congregation takes just a little research.

Audio Bible Stories
-
Bible stories told in storybook fashion do more than engage young listeners, and authentic sound effects and narratives do more than keep young congregants interested in what they are listening to at the moment. They also set the stage for a lifelong love of reading the Bible. Children in your youth ministry will be so involved in auditory Bible stories that they will almost literally feel themselves following the star in the east, walking on water alongside Peter, running through the streets with the cripple telling the good news of his healing, or sitting on the mountainside as Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount.
Games
-
There's no better way to bring the Bible to life and help children learn Christian values than to cloak the lessons in a game. Your little charges will be having so much fun playing these innovative and engaging games that they will never even realize that they are learning valuable lessons that will last a lifetime. Starting each Sunday school class with an icebreaker game is an effective way to convey the message that this school is a lot of fun. Once the class gets under way, memorizing Bible verses and reviewing Bible stories can turn out to be enjoyable.

Age-Appropriate Curriculum
-
As children grow, their learning needs change. But regardless of the ages of the children in your charge, you can present lessons to engage them as they learn the Gospel, and to help them develop a strong belief in God. The headquarters of your church or diocese has developed curricula for children of all ages. Contact your local or regional headquarters for a current catalog of youth ministry tools and resources to use in your youth ministry program.
Music
-
Regardless of the age of your Sunday school class, songs are a perfect way to help get your message across. The minister of music or choir director at your church can help make musical selections for youth ministry classes that correspond with the music performed during services for their parents.
High tech kids' church resources
-
Older kids are using modern-day technology to explore various computer apps, texting, and social networking. Why not expand your youth ministry to include these tools? Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites are excellent resources for your kids' church outreach. As youth ministry leader, you can help your older charges develop their own online social network, establish special-interest network groups and communicate via text groups. You can also use this new technology to send daily positive messages and reminders of church activities.
