Senior prom is one of the most important events in a high school student's life. It represents so many things -- freedom, a sense of adulthood and party time. Preparing for the prom takes a lot of effort, not to mention organizing the festivities that normally take place afterwards. With so many options, the hardest part is deciding. Does this Spark an idea?

Go out to Eat
-
It is safe to assume you spent your senior prom mingling and dancing the night away. The food served at the prom may have been light finger foods, if food was served at all. One way to stay in the moment and keep the excitement going from senior prom is to go out to eat afterward. Go to a local 24-hour diner or a restaurant that's open late to recap the events that happened that evening. Host a barbecue in your backyard or at a local park the following afternoon. Grill hot dogs, hamburgers and play some music. Bring some water balloons and water guns to have a water battle among your friends. Make it an event to remember.
Attend a Party
-
You don't have let the party stop at the end of the senior prom. Continue to let the fun by attending an after party. Some high schools plan a post-prom celebration for students who attended the prom. At the school-sponsored after party you will be able to find lots of food, music and plenty of activities without the presence of alcohol. If you're not interested in the school function, find out if one of your friends is having a party and attend it. Bring your video game console or a karaoke machine to add a little competitive fun to the party. Another option is to go to a local teen club and dance the night away with friends.

The Day After Activities
-
The morning after prom provides ample opportunity to keep the excitement from the senior prom going with your friends. Gather a group and go to an amusement park. Ride the roller coaster, play a few games, eat cotton candy and enjoy yourselves. If you're not into the rides, make the day after prom a beach day. Gather your beach supplies, a cooler full of cool drinks, some of your closest friends and music. Have a good time, play a few rounds of volleyball. Enjoy being a teen.
Host a Sleepover
-
The party doesn't have to end when you're hosting a sleepover after senior prom. You can host it at your home with your closest friends. If you're at least 18 you can reserve a hotel room or use your parents' time share. Stock up on enough junk food, movies and games for the crowd you will be entertaining. Go to breakfast the next morning to discuss the most memorable moments from the prom and plan the rest of the weekend.
