Princess Jasmine Cake Ideas
Princess Jasmine is from the 1992 animated Disney film "Aladdin." This spunky character wants to find a life outside of the castle walls. When she meets Prince Ali, she does not know he is a beggar boy named Aladdin. Together, they discover a whole new world to explore. Doll Cake

Create a three-dimensional cake with a Jasmine doll. Bake a cake inside of a large, oven safe, glass mixing bowl. Once the cake cools, remove it from the bowl and set it on a serving platter with the smaller end up. Cut a 2-inch hole in the top center of the cake and insert the legs of the Jasmine doll. The cake becomes her skirt. Decorate the cake using butter cream frosting to look like the bottom of a dress. Alternatively, if you are skilled with fondant, cover the cake with fondant sheets.
Magic Carpet

Prince Ali and Princess Jasmine take a magic carpet ride around the world in the movie. Recreate this scene for your child using a cake for the carpet. Stack two baked and cooled sheet cakes on top of each other. Use a serrated knife to carve a wave into the cake. This gives the carpet a flowing look. Alternatively, use one sheet cake and skip the carving if you do not feel comfortable with it. Cover the cake in fondant. Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes to make a pattern on the carpet, such as stars, flowers or triangles. Decorate the carpet using the cutouts and then place a Jasmine and Aladdin doll on top. Add a cloud look around the base of the cake by placing white cotton candy around it.

It takes less effort and little decorating skills to make a plain sheet cake. Frost the cake a solid color. Choose a color that matches your party decorations. Place small plastic "Aladdin" dolls on top, including Jasmine and other movie characters such as the Genie, Abu, Raj, Jafar and Iago.
Gum Paste Figures

Gum paste allows you create sculpted figures to add to your cake. If you prefer to avoid buying "Aladdin" characters, and have the sculpting skills, make your own Jasmine and other characters using gum paste. Place the sculpted pieces on the cake in lieu of plastic toys.
