What Are Some Things You Can Do for Your Child's Birthday?
Your children's birthdays can be a special time for them as well as the rest of the family. Children look forward to celebrating their birthday, so it's important that parents do something to celebrate their special day. Parents can find many different ways to celebrate that are sure to make your child's day a special one. Does this Spark an idea?
-
Decorate Their Bedroom
-
Surprise your children by filling their room with various birthday decorations while they are at school. Blow up balloons and use streamers and create a birthday sign to place on their door. This is an exciting thing for a child to come home to and something they definitely won't expect. It will make them feel special when they walk in to see a festive birthday room. Also, the family can decorate the room together, which makes it fun and even more thoughtful since it is a surprise from everyone.
Take Them to a Favorite Place
-
Another great way to celebrate your children's birthday is to take them to one of their favorite places. Depending on your child, this may be her favorite restaurant, a baseball game, a video arcade, a dance studio, a movie theater or a park. Let her choose something fun that she wants to do on her birthday. This reminds your child that the day is special and allows you to really treat her to something she enjoys.

Make Treats for School
-
If you'd like to make the school day special on your child's birthday, you can make some treats for him to bring to school and share with the class. This is a simple thing to do to make sure that the school recognizes your child's birthday during the day. It will make your child feel special, and it is also fun because their friends and teachers are there to celebrate with them.
Make Their Favorite Meal
-
Most children have a favorite meal, whether it's pizza, mac and cheese, spaghetti or hot dogs. Let your child choose what she wants for dinner on her birthday, and make it for them. You could also tell her that she can invite some friends over for the birthday dinner. Call it her "special birthday dinner" to make it seem extra special, and of course, end the meal with a birthday song and cake.
Look at Old Birthday Pictures
-
Birthdays are a time to reminisce and celebrate. Bring out old picture books of past birthdays and look at them with your children. Remind them of the fun parties they have had and how much they have grown. This is a fun way to look back at other birthdays and make your child feel special.
