Create your own anniversary card complete with a handwritten note to your better half.

Handmade anniversary cards are not only thoughtful, but also an inexpensive way to express your love to your significant other. Use photos and craft paper to create cards that are not only romantic, but also creative. Include a handwritten note to your spouse or coupons for chores or a romantic night out.

  1. Photo Card

    • Use photos from your wedding, dates or vacations to decorate a card. Use a heavy card stock for the paper. Fold the card stock in half. You will also need glue for the card. Cut out the pictures and arrange them as you want them glued down. Glue the pictures to the cover. Allow the glue to dry. Then you can include a handwritten note to your spouse.

    Coupon Card

    • Make a coupon card using card stock for the outside of the card and construction paper or printer paper for the coupons. Fold the card stock in half. On the outside you can simply write Happy Anniversary. Then cut the coupon paper to fit inside of the card. Add about half an inch to the length. You will need this to staple the coupons to the card. Make a coupon for doing chores such as the laundry or dishes. You can also write coupons for a date night or a long weekend trip.

    Pop-Up Card

    • On the computer, type out a short message such as "I Love You." Before printing, make sure that it is centered on the paper. Print out the message. Fold the card in half horizontally. Use an utility knife to carefully cut around the letters on the sides. Leave the bottom and top of the letters attached to the paper. Pull the letters forward a little. Use another sheet of paper to go behind the letters. This will be the cover of the card.

    Cupcake Card

    • Add your card to anniversary cupcakes. You can bake them yourself or buy them. Cut out a heart from construction paper. Write a special note on the front of the heart. Glue a Popsicle stick to the back of the heart. Allow the glue to dry. Then stick the card in the center of the cupcake. You could even glue letters onto Popsicle sticks to spell out a sweet message.
