Valentine Poster Ideas
Valentine's Day is a wonderful time to show your loved one how much you care about him. Do this by making a special meal, writing a meaningful note or creating a beautiful poster that shows that he is special. Although a poster can be a cute classroom project, they are not too juvenile for an adult to make, as well.

Wedding Picture
-
If you have never gotten around to enlarging copies of the wedding pictures that you love, surprise your spouse with a blown-up copy of your favorite memory. Enlarge the copy into one poster that gets framed or use a photo company to create a unique poster of your own. There are many companies, such as Bighugelab.com, that allow you to create a stunning photo mosaic. A photo mosaic is a compilation of many pictures that are arranged to form another picture. For example, choose a picture of you and your spouse under the wedding canopy as the main picture and the other 200 pictures from your wedding will be used to form the original wedding canopy picture.
Sophisticated Poster
-
For a classy poster that can be used anywhere from the classroom to the home, use luxurious fabrics. Cut a big heart out of soft red velvet and glue it on to a sturdy piece of cardboard to support it. Decorate the heart with rhinestones and pretty crystals using fabric glue to attach the pieces. As a finishing touch, add a large bow made of silk, taffeta or organza, and place it at the top of the heart.

Classroom Poster with Gifts
-
As a cute idea for your students, hang gifts from your Valentine's Day poster to get them in the holiday spirit. Create a poster using any material that you would like, such as an oak tag or cardboard background, and cut it into the shape of a heart. Decorate the poster with the names of the children in your class and hang a small friendship bracelet under each name using a tack or a safety pin. The friendship bracelets should all match so that no one feels left out and you can foster friendship and unity in your classroom.
Purchase simple bracelets from your local dollar store to give out or create your own by braiding three strands of string together and knotting the ends.
Edible Poster
-
For a touch that is sure to delight your students or children, create a poster with yummy, edible treats. Make a poster in traditional Valentine's Day colors, such as pink, red and white, out of a large piece of oaktag. Decorate the front of the poster with pink and red tissue paper heart cutouts. Buy little wrapped candies or wrap them yourself in small cellophane bags. Decorate each candy or candy bag by bunching up a piece of tissue paper into a round shape and taping the shape to the candy. Tape the candy to the poster.
