The Joule, Dallas
Dallas' Joule hotel (starwoodhotels.com) is a luxurious lodging option in the heart of the city's Historic District. This hotel is home to the PM Nightlife Lounge (pmnightlifelounge.com), a trendy spot with chic furniture pieces, mirrors along the wall and contemporary artwork. The Lounge enforces a business casual dress code and a no-smoking policy. Valet parking and catering services are available. During the evenings, PM hosts live acoustic or jazz music.
Other hotel features include a rooftop pool, fitness room and upscale dining at the Charlie Palmer at the Joule restaurant. Demi Joule boutique rooms feature zebra-printed carpet, circular beds and ceramic-furnished bathrooms. The Joule hotel resides in the former Dallas National Bank building, built in 1927; the building features Gothic Revival-style decor.
Sterling Hotel Dallas
Located in western Dallas, the Sterling Hotel (sterlinghoteldallas.com) features the Grandview Nightclub. This adult venue is on the 12th-story Penthouse Level. Nightclub amenities include sound systems, dance floors and a private VIP room. The Grandview is available for corporate functions, bachelorette parties and wedding receptions. The nightclub offers the “Rock Star” package; this event package offers catering service from the hotel, security and a one-night stay in the Presidential Suite.
Other dining options at the hotel include the casual Greenery Restaurant – which serves American cuisine – and Jabberwocky, a sports bar with a game room and televisions for sporting events. Sterling's guests have access to the hotel's courtyard area, which has a heated swimming pool. The hotel also has two tennis courts and a fitness center. For an extra fee, pets may stay in the guest rooms.
Hotel Zaza (hotelzazadallas.com) is a boutique accommodation in Dallas' Arts District. Poolside, Zaza's outdoor poolside lounge, has an age limit of 21 after 10 p.m. The lounge's dress code is uptown chic. Downtown Dallas' skyline is visible from the lounge. During the winter, the hotel places a clear heating cover over Poolside. This cover provides warmth for Poolside's patrons, but they are still able to view the Dallas skyline. The lounge is in a courtyard setting.
Zaza's fine dining restaurant, Dragonfly, serves American cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Massages and body treatments are available at the ZaSpa, the hotel's on-site spa. Seven themed suites are available at Hotel Zaza, including the Asian-influenced Crouching Tiger suite and Last Czar, a Russian-themed suite.
Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dallas Downtown
Thrive Nightclub (thrivedallas.com) is on the ground floor of the Crowne Plaza Hotel (ichotelsgroup.com) in downtown Dallas. Thrive has a vibrant atmosphere and expansive dance floor. DJ music is available throughout the week. Other nightclub features include a full-service bar, VIP rooms and bottle service. Thrive's lounge area provides a bar menu with small plates and cocktail drinks. No sneaker shoes or flip-flops are allowed.
The nightclub is adjacent to the hotel's Thrive Restaurant, which serves seafood and steak. Crowne Plaza also offers guests a rooftop pool, fitness room and car rental desk in the lobby. Crowne Plaza's Dallas Grand Ballroom accommodates up to 600 guests for banquets. Suites provides a complimentary bathrobe and kitchenette. Pets may stay for an additional fee.
