Easter Egg Games for Kids
Easter egg games for kids can go beyond the traditional Easter egg hunt. When hosting an Easter party for children, use your imagination to create plastic and real egg games the children can enjoy. Award Easter-themed prizes, such as baskets and candy, to game winners to keep the children interested in more egg games.

Easter Egg Piñatas
-
Fill several plastic Easter eggs with candy and party favors. Place a piece of ribbon or string in the egg before closing it shut. Hang all the eggs from a tree and place a large sheet underneath the eggs. Blindfold one child at a time and give him a broom handle to swing at the eggs. Any candy or favors that fall from his swing, he can keep for himself. Keep playing until all the eggs have busted open and each kid has something to take home.
Egg Sock Race
-
Mark a starting line and finish line about 25 feet apart. Have all the kids line up at the starting line and give each child a pair of old socks. Hand each child two raw, colored Easter eggs. She must place the eggs on the outside of each ankle (inside the sock). When you say, "Race," the children must race to the finish line. However, they have to run or walk carefully so the eggs do not break. The first player to cross the finish line with unbroken Easter eggs wins the game.

Matching Eggs
-
Color several Easter eggs and make about six eggs that have a matching egg. Hide the eggs all over the party area and tell the children they have to find the eggs that have a match. The first six players to bring back identical Easter eggs win a prize. After one player finds a matching pair of eggs, he is out of the game. This gives other players a chance to win prizes.
Easter Egg Obstacle Course
-
Create an obstacle course in a large open area, using chairs, cones, tables, old tires and rope. The kids have to go under, over and around these obstacles while carrying a hard-boiled Easter egg on a spoon. Mark a starting line and finish line, and make signs so the children know where to run next. Have them line up at the starting line and when you say, "Go," they each must place an egg on the spoon. They have to race to the finish line with the eggs on the spoons the entire time. If a player drops the egg at any time, she must return to the starting line and start the race over. The first player to cross the finish line wins the game.
