Packaging Remedies
Consumers are largely concerned with getting the very best product for the least amount of money. Quality is important to most consumers, and quality of a product can be easily conveyed through proper packaging. Success of a product largely rides on advertisement and image. Don't try to save money by skimping on packaging.

Aesthetics
-
Create an eye catching package. Most stores offer a wide variety or products that are meant to bombard the customer. The most elaborately packaged products often catch the eye of the consumer first. Colors, textures, and pictures can all enhance the packaging of a product. Include clear text so that the customer knows what he or she is possibly buying. Use colors that compliment each other and that compliment the product that you are trying to sell.
Structure
-
Don't use flimsy packaging. Many consumers avoid purchasing packages that have been opened or damaged. There are multiple reasons for this, one being that a damaged package could mean a damaged product. Damaged packaging also ruins the new feeling of the product. Consumers enjoy new products and if they are paying full price, it isn't likely that the risk of a broken or partial product is worth the sale. Always use sturdy packaging and repackage products that have severely damaged packages.

Demographic
-
Use advertising to appeal to your demographic. Do research and decide who you are trying to appeal to and how you can go about doing so. If you are trying to appeal to young children, use vibrant colors, animals, and simple slogans or names. If you are trying to appeal to adults, use the packaging to convey to the consumer that this is one product that they shouldn't live without. Your product packaging should exude success, power, or relaxation as a result of using the product.
Communication
-
Clarify the details of the product that you are selling . Use the packaging to show the importance of the product Reveal its function and list other products that should or could be bought with the product. Use pictures or phrases to elaborate what the consumer should be expecting to get out of the product.
