Cotton Ball Santa
-
Use cotton balls to make Santa's beard. Use a baby food jar to make a Santa Claus candy jar. Glue cotton balls around the jar to form his beard and hair. Leave a circular area on one side of the jar empty for his face. Make the face with googly eyes, a button nose and a mouth from construction paper. Form a hat by cutting out a red paper circle, making a slit and overlapping the edges of the paper to form a cone. Glue it onto the lid of the jar, and top it off with a cotton ball to form the end of the hat.
Peeking Santa
-
Make a jar that looks like Santa peeking out of a chimney. Cut a piece of red construction paper that is half the height of the jar. Glue it onto the bottom half of the jar, and use puffy paint to draw bricks onto the paper. Glue a line of white ribbon around the top edge of the paper to create the rim of the chimney. Put a rectangle of glue above the chimney on one side of the jar and put white glitter on the rectangle to form the beard. Put two large eyes above the beard using googly eyes or construction paper. Make a red hat out of felt and glue it above the eyes.

Santa Suit
-
Use a Santa suit for your inspiration. Make a jar that looks like a Santa suit. Draw an outline of a belt and a belt buckle around the middle of the jar. Put hot glue all over the strap of the belt and roll the jar in black glass beads. Put glue over the buckle and roll it in yellow or gold glass beads. Spread glue over the rest of the jar and roll the jar in red glass beads, or push the beads onto the jar.
Snowed-In Santa
-
Make a Santa that fits inside the jar. Use a Santa cookie using a cookie cutter shaped like Santa. You can also trace the Santa cookie cutter onto cardboard, then cut out parts of his suit from construction paper. Prop up your Santa inside the jar using a plate stand. Fill the jar with peppermint candies or another holiday sweet to represent snow. Invite your guests to eat the candies to uncover the Santa buried in the snow.
