With more information being released to the public about the toxicity of many household cleaning products, and a desire to do what's best for the environment, there is a bigger demand than ever for all-natural, eco-green cleaning products. An eco-green cleaning product is one that not only cleans well, but also will not harm the environment. Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day is a line of products invented by Thelma Meyer, a housewife and mother of nine children. This busy mom and wife wanted to create cleaning products that are both strong and safe to use. In addition, she added natural scents to all the products using essential oils to create products that smell like a fresh garden. Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day products are sold as eco-green, safe for kids and pets and have never been tested on animals.

Rockin Green is a company devoted to creating cloth diaper-approved detergents that work and are great for the environment. According to the Rockin Green website, the inventor, Kim Webb, created her formula after dealing with stinky diapers and hard water that rendered her cloth diapers useless. With the help of her eco-conscious environmental scientist father, she invented Rockin Green detergent.

Vaska is a Berkley-based company that has created a full line of laundry products that are sold as both eco-green and powerful. By using concentrated plant extracts, the company invented products that actually remove hard water residue and ensure clothes are left at their cleanest. This product has received the Queen of Clean, Linda Cobb's, seal of approval.

If you want to have eco-green products, but don't have much green to spend, create your own powerful eco-green and kid-safe cleaner right at home. In Linda Cobb's book, "Talking Dirty with the Queen of Clean," she says to combine 2 cups of water, 2 tbsp. of lemon juice, 1/2 tsp. of liquid dish soap, 1 tbsp. of baking soda, and 1 tsp. of borax in a squirt bottle, as a general all-purpose cleaner, and you're good to go.
