Spring Flowerpot Centerpiece Craft
-
Decorate your dining table or kitchen counter with a spring-themed flowerpot. Insert a 4-inch plastic container into an 8-inch ceramic plant pot. Fill the 4-inch space between the pot and container with potting soil, and lightly moisten with water. Set wheatgrass shoots into the potting soil, arranging them between the plastic container and ceramic pot. Wheatgrass can be purchased from any local grocery store. Fill the center of the pot with mandarin oranges, navel oranges or a grapefruit for a touch of bright color.
Pencil Holder Flowerpot Craft
-
Keep pencils within reach with a flowerpot pencil holder. Apply a layer of white acrylic paint to the outside of a 4-inch terra cotta flowerpot, and allow the pot to dry for 30 minutes. Paint the flowerpot with a design of bright colors, such as blue, green or yellow, and allow the paint to dry. After the pot is fully dry, wrap a ¼-inch-thick ribbon below the rim of the pot and tie it into a bow. Fill the flowerpot with pinto beans to weigh it down and insert the pencils on completion.

Flowerpot Garden Tool Holder Craft
-
Store garden hand tools in a flowerpot garden tool holder. Select a 10-inch ceramic, clay or plastic flowerpot from your home or home improvement store. Wash flowerpots that have been previously used with warm water and air dry. Cover any drainage holes with duct tape. Fill ¾ of the flower pot with builder's sand, which can also be purchased from a home improvement store. Insert the garden tools into the sand with their handles facing up. Mineral oil may be mixed into the sand if the tools are made of metal to prevent them from rusting.
Hanging Terra Cotta Flowerpots Craft
-
Add a touch of creativity to your garden with hanging terra cotta flowerpots. Set five terra cotta flowerpots upside down. Cut a ¼-inch wide ribbon to 24 inches. Insert the ribbon through a 1-inch-wide wooden bead and tie a knot around the bead. Thread the ribbon through the drainage hole of the first upside-down flowerpot, and then through another wooden bead. Press the second bead securely against the flowerpot and tie a knot around the bead; the flowerpot's base should be wedged between both wooden beads. Continue threading the ribbon through the wooden beads and upside-down flowerpots in the same manner until all of the pots are attached. Tie the top of the ribbon to a plant hook and hang.
