Changing Nappy Games

Newborn babies need their diapers changed several times a day.

There is not much sweeter than the smell of a tiny baby. The smell of the diapers produced is another matter altogether. If you are going to be a new mom, one thing you need to be prepared to do is to change diapers, also called nappies, and a lot of them. If you are planning a baby shower, it is always fun to play some type of diaper-changing game.

  1. Baby Time Trials

    • Divide the guests up in to teams of three, depending on how many people are attending. A station needs to be ready with a doll, diaper, outfit and blanket. At the sound of a whistle, the first person on the team needs to pick up the doll and properly put a diaper on the baby, and then pass the baby to her teammate. The second person needs to dress the baby in the given outfit. The third person needs to swaddle the baby in the blanket. The team to finish first wins.

    What is in the Diaper?

    • This game is loved by many, but has a gross factor. Obtain several different types of candy bars. Heat each candy bar in the microwave individually for about 10 to 15 seconds. Smear each melted candy in a disposable diaper. Pass each of the dirty diapers around and guests should guess what type of candy bar made each mess. The person who guesses the most correctly could receive a candy bar.

How Many Things Can you Diaper?

    • Provide each team with a stack of disposable or cloth diapers (nappies). Have one person be in charge of timing the teams and give them each two minutes. As the timekeeper says, "Start," the team must properly diaper as many objects as they are able to in the room. Have various stuffed animals and dolls available. The team that correctly diapers the most objects in the time frame wins.

    Adult Diapers

    • Make sure you have a crowd that is open to this game before you play it. Divide in to teams of three or four. Each team needs to be provided with several rolls of toilet paper. The task is to design an adult diaper using toilet paper and have one of the teammates model it. Give each team two minutes to diaper the person on the team who volunteers. No tape or pins can be used to hold the diaper together.
