Fashion Tips for Shoes
Whether you are a footwear fanatic or looking for ways to spruce up your shoe game, there are specific types of shoes for every occasion. Besides color and style, size and healthy-looking feet are also relevant to shoe fashion. Adjusting your shoe closet to improve your style is not an impossible feat.

The Key is Variety
-
Variety is the key to coordinating shoes with stylish ensembles. A woman can never have enough shoes. Even still, a woman with 100 pairs of pumps will be out of luck if she is invited to participate in a sporting event. A wise woman knows that variety is the key to mastering her shoe closet. Fashionable ladies make an attempt to own a pair of black heels, neutral-colored boots, tennis shoes, sandals, open-toe heels, earth-tone flats and a couple pairs of flip-flops. When coordinating clothes with footwear, she will have the right shoes for any outfit.
A man may improve upon his fashion sense by keeping different shoes in his closet, in a variety of colors. Burgundy, beige, brown, tan, black and white are ideal colors for every man's closet. It is also important that he keep different styles to go along with each and every ensemble. Loafers, sandals, boots, sneakers and a few pairs of shiny formal shoes are enough to guarantee the right shoe for the occasion.
Know Your Feet
-
Do not end up going barefoot because you did not wear the proper shoe. Ladies who enjoy wearing high heels should only wear those that she feels comfortable walking in. If you are walking awkwardly or if your posture is affected as a result of your 6-inch heels, it is time to downgrade a couple inches. No matter how skilled you are at trotting along in heels, ridiculously high heels are unnecessary and dangerous.
Women on the heavy side should avoid narrow heels. Conversely, small, skinny women should avoid clunky wedges to avoid appearing awkward.
Men with wide feet need to wear a wide shoe rather than thin ones. Not only will it be uncomfortable, the wrong fit causes unsightly blisters and calluses. Men with narrow feet should avoid wides shoes as they will negatively affect his posture.

Keep Feet Looking Neat
-
Keep those feet in tip-top shape before slipping into sandals. Feet riddled with bruises, corns and cracks are capable of making even the most stylish shoe appear unsightly. Before slipping into your favorite footwear, get a pedicure. If you do not have the money to hit up the nail salon, do it yourself with an emery board, callus remover, nail clippers, a file and foot lotion. Dry, flaky feet may scare off potential partners as it draws attention to your feet --- for all the wrong reasons. Ladies, do not forget to repaint those toes when the polish starts to crack.
Foot Fashion No-Nos
-
Choose your shoes wisely. Coordinate your shoes with your outfit. Wearing a plaid dress with polka-dotted pumps is unlikely to go over well with onlookers. Denim shorts on a man paired with shiny, formal dress shoes will look silly.
Do not go out in a formal evening gown with flip-flops, unless you are going dancing. Keep your outfits in line by paring elegant with elegant, casual with casual, trendy with trendy and so on.
Do not let your shoes wear you. Lita Ford once said, "Stiletto, I look at it as more as an attitude as opposed to a high-heeled shoe." Although it is not acceptable to pair strange patterns together, both men and women can make a bold statement with a neutral-colored ensemble paired with solid, brightly colored footwear.
