The range of choices for kitchen faucets is more attractive than ever before. The types available will add to the style of your kitchen's decor. The style and finish, as well as the size and features of the faucet, should all be considered when choosing a new faucet. You should review some basic facts when looking at the types of faucets available. Does this Spark an idea?

Single-Handle Faucet
-
The single-handle faucet is the most basic form available. The faucet has one lever that is used to control the hot and cold water temperatures. It is a convenient option for quick and easy access to water. Most single-handle faucets have a low profile unless you opt for a goose-neck spout.
Single-Handle With Side Spray Faucet
-
The single-handle faucet can also come with a side spray option. This type of faucet is less expensive than a pull-out spray faucet while allowing you to have a sprayer.
-
Two-Handle Faucet
-
The two-handle faucet allows for independent temperature control of hot and cold water. The double-handle faucet works well in a traditional kitchen by recreating the look of period design. Ones with a quarter-turn ceramic-disk cartridge that controls the water on/off are better quality. A center set means the handles and spout are connected above the sink.
Pull-Out Spray Faucet
-
The pull-out spray faucet is the most requested faucet in kitchen design. The flexible spray hose pulls out for easier washing of vegetables and large pots. Pull-outs or pull-downs are stylish while still being functional. The button on some pull-outs switch the flow from aerated to spray. Other pull-out faucets have a magnetic spray head dock that allows for a tight fit.
Wall-Mounted Faucet
-
Connected to a wall directly above the sink, a wall-mounted faucet is a type of faucet reminiscent of earlier times. A wall-mounted faucet is connected to the wall directly above the kitchen sink. These faucets give the room a custom look and are a smart choice for period designed kitchens. The wall-mounted faucet gives you access to your entire countertop, making cleaning an easier chore. The wall-mounted faucet looks especially good with a farmhouse sink or an undermount sink that has no predrilled faucet holes.
Pot Filler Faucet
-
The pot filler faucet is ideal for the enthusiastic cook. The pot filler is a cold water faucet installed in addition to a regular faucet. It can be mounted either on the wall behind a stove or on the countertop close to the stove. With its extra long arm and swivel spout, the faucet can fill large pots already on the stove.
