Crafts that Use a Nurse Hat
Nurses often go unnoticed and unappreciated. They work long hours caring for the sick and often don't receive a thank you. Make a craft for your favorite nurse to help her understand that you do notice her work and appreciate all that she does to help her fellow humans.

Origami Nurse Hat

Create a nurse's hat using the ancient Japanese method of paper folding known as origami. Use a square piece of white paper to create the craft. Detailed instructions on how to fold the origami nurse hat can be found on origami instruction sites. Embellish the hat with red paper medical crosses to indicate that the hat is meant to be worn by someone in the medical profession.
Toilet Paper Roll Nurse

Draw a face on a toilet paper roll. Glue white felt to the bottom half of the roll under the face, to serve as the nurse's outfit. Cut white pipe cleaners to form arms and attach to the backside of the roll with tape. Attach yarn hair to the top of the roll. Use a small rectangle of Styrofoam to create a nurse's hat and attach it to the hair with hot glue. Put a red felt cross on the hat and draw a stethoscope around the nurse's neck.

Styrofoam Bowl Nurse's Hat

Cut a Styrofoam bowl in half. Use a large bowl for an adult size hat and a smaller bowl for a child's hat. The opening will fit along the head and what was the bottom of the bowl will face upward. Draw a red cross symbol on the front of the hat and attach to the hair with bobby pins.
Nurse Easter Egg

Paint the top half of a hard boiled egg in a skin tone color. Cut a piece of white tissue paper and glue it to the egg with white craft glue. Give the nurse hair by cutting multiple strips of yellow yarn of equal length and gluing it to the top of the egg. Glue google eyes to the nurse's face and use markers to draw eye lashes, nose and mouth on the egg's head. Make a hat for the nurse by cutting a strip of white tissue paper that fits around the top of the egg. Fold it over and glue the ends together. Draw a red cross at the center of the nurse's hat.
