Jesus Christ Games for Kids
Understanding abstract concepts such as Jesus' love for humanity can be difficult for kids to grasp. Engaging children with games in Sunday school and religion classes captures their attention while teaching them important lessons about God. Play games to teach kids more about Jesus' life, ministry and love for all people.

Jesus Bingo
-
Kids often enjoy playing bingo, which requires them to pay attention to called numbers to win a prize. Instead of playing traditional bingo with the letters B-I-N-G-O across the top of each bingo card, write the letters J-E-S-U-S across the top. Play the game like regular bingo, calling letters and numbers at random. Give a small prize to the child who gets five dots in a row and calls "Jesus Bingo!" first.
Word Games
-
Slightly older children may enjoy playing word games with references to Jesus Christ. Create crossword puzzles or word scrambles with Biblical topics. Use the words "Joseph," "Jesus," "Beatitudes," "apostles," "miracle" or "manger." Let kids work on the word puzzles at their own pace or hold timed races to see who can complete the puzzle first. Alternatively, bring a Scrabble board and challenge kids to make use all of the tiles using only Jesus-related words.

Trivia
-
Hold a trivia contest for kids that tests their knowledge of Jesus' teachings and works. Create a large list of Jesus Christ questions and create a Biblical game show for kids. Play the game in the style of "Family Feud," "Jeopardy!" or another popular quiz show. Ask questions about Jesus' birth, human parents, miracles, important teachings, quotes and parables. Create challenge questions with difficult answers to test kids' knowledge. Provide a prize for the child who answers the most questions correctly.
Time Line
-
Ask kids to make time lines of Jesus' life. Include details about his birth, childhood, public ministry and death. Encourage children to draw small pictures or find interesting details about Jesus' life to put on their time lines. Then have the kids make time lines of their own lives and accomplishments. Ask the children to think of times that they have followed Jesus' teachings or done good deeds. Have them put those accomplishments on the time lines as important events in their lives.
Artwork
-
Print pictures of famous paintings, sculptures and other artwork featuring Jesus Christ. Include images of the nativity scene, the adoration of the Magi, Jesus' baptism, crucifixion, transfiguration and the Last Judgment. Ask kids to choose a favorite picture and describe why they like it. Provide paints so that children can make their own artistic impression of Jesus.
