The Easiest Fundraisers
A fundraiser is a sale, event or auction that raises money for a cause, a charity or a specific group. Different groups in schools hold fundraisers to raise money for events such as school trips, or different clubs finance their projects such as 4-H clubs, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. While some fundraisers can be very detailed and require quite a bit of work, there are also many that are easy to accomplish and can raise just as much money.

Car Wash

A car wash is an easy fundraiser that requires very few supplies and a little work. A car wash can take place in a business or church parking lot, at a school or even at someone's home in the community. All you need is a water house, buckets, sponges, liquid soap and some volunteers. You can also make signs and post them around the community to advertise the car wash. Volunteers can hold up signs on street corners to alert those who drive by of the car wash.

A raffle is another easy idea for a fundraiser. First, your group must decide on what you will raffle off, and you must also have the funds to purchase the items. Popular raffle items include gift baskets, gift certificates, jewelry and electronics such as game systems. Depending on what you are trying to raise money for, you may be able to get businesses to donate items for you to raffle off.
Once you have a raffle item, simply make up tickets for people to write their name and phone number on, and sell the tickets for a set amount of money, such as $1 per ticket. Make sure you give a specific date for the drawing and let people know if they must be present to win.

Bake Sale

A bake sale is another simple idea for a fundraiser. Request that each member of your group or organization brings at least two baked items for the sale. You can set up the items at a table in a variety of places such as church parking lots, community centers, or even at a school if the fundraiser is to benefit the school. Use stickers to mark the price on each item.
Maid for a Day

Another popular and easy fundraising idea is to auction off butler and maid services for a day. Members of your group can volunteer to be auctioned off, and the winning bidders will receive their services for the day. Butler and maid services can include cleaning the house, doing yard work, washing the car, walking the dog, grocery shopping and even babysitting.
