JELL-O based desserts are a great way celebrate a birthday.

Two of the most common JELL-O products are gelatin and pudding. Many ideas are available on the JELL-O website, owned by Kraft Foods, regarding how to use pudding and gelatin in conjunction with a birthday celebration. Make a JELL-O-based treat to serve at a small, intimate gathering or a large birthday party. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Kids

    • One of the most popular treats to offer at a kids' birthday party is JELL-O Jigglers, also known as finger JELL-O. Jigglers are typically very easy to make and give kids an excuse to eat dessert with their hands. If you want to serve a birthday cake, decide whether to use pudding or gelatin, choose your child's favorite flavor of JELL-O and find a recipe on the JELL-O website, such as the Brownie Mud Puddle Cake using JELL-O chocolate instant pudding.

    Molds

    • If a birthday party has a specific theme, use a mold to shape JELL-O gelatin. If you are serving Jigglers at a sports-themed birthday celebration, use football helmet molds for individual treats. Pick out other themed molds at any craft or grocery story to create small molded Jigglers, or get a large mold to make a gelatin dessert in one or several flavors. Cookware around the house can also serve as a JELL-O mold, such as a bundt pan or creatively designed bowl.

    Alcohol Based

    • Adults might enjoy an alcohol-based JELL-O birthday treat at their party. Depending on the time of day of your birthday celebration, JELL-O has several alcohol-based recipes available. For an afternoon, outdoor birthday celebration in the summer, make JELL-O-based Pina Colada Pops or Sangria Cups.     Seasonal

    • Prepare a JELL-O treat with a seasonal theme for your birthday guest of honor. Make a winter birthday warmer with the JELL-O five minute Hot Chocolate-Marshmallow Pudding using instant chocolate pudding.
