Friendship Bracelet
-
A friendship bracelet is a great way to show your friendship. Start by taping the tops of your threads next to each other on the table. These should be about a foot long. The tops should be flush with each other. Slowly thread the threads to weave your cobra braid. Halfway through the bracelet, tie the threads to a small metal name tag with your friend's name or the phrase "BFF" printed on the front. Tie new threads to the other end of the tag and create a new cobra braid. Continue braiding until it is long enough to go around your wrist. Tie the threads together at both ends of the bracelet to complete the bracelet loop.
Hair Tie
-
Cobra braids can be used to create a colorful hair tie. Find colored rubber threads that are at least three feet long. Rubber threads are preferable to leather or string threads as they can stretch more easily. This makes them more adaptable to a wide variety of hair styles. Thread these braids into a cobra braid to create a large loop. Tie the ends of the loops together to complete the hair tie. This long hair tie can be used to hold up long hair into pony tails or pig tails. Use shorter rubber threads to create smaller hair ties for shorter hair. These hair ties serve as perfect gifts for friends.

Decorative Art
-
Cobra braids can serve as a perfect way to create decorative art. Pick several different types of threads in different colors. You can use different fabric types, such as felt or rubber to create a braid with different textures. The lengths of the threads depend on how long you're designing your braid. Use bright, vibrant colors to make your braid eye catching. Thread your cobra braid and tie off both ends to create a cobra braid line. You can then tie strings, feathers and other decorations to the ends of the braid. Tie these to your clothes, back pack or even your bedroom to create a nice decoration.
Rugs
-
Cobra braids can also be used to create small rugs for your home. This craft requires a lot of careful braiding, planning and patience. Take several fabric threads and braid them into a several foot long loop. Create several increasingly larger loops that fit over the loop just smaller than it. Lay these loops inside each other. Tie each loop to the loop next to it using strong strings. This is the most difficult aspect of the process as you must tie them together along the whole length of the rug. These knots must be very tightly knotted to hold the rug together. Change the process any way you feel comfortable.
