Unique Funeral Arrangements for Men
There are many reasons folks may opt for a unique funeral service as opposed to a more traditional one. With the costs of traditional funerals being steep, a unique service can be a money-saving option. Others simply prefer that a funeral service reflect their own individuality. Some prefer the idea of a "fun" funeral that focuses on the joy of life as opposed to the grim, sadness of death.

Hobbies and Interests
-
Sports-themed funerals are very popular with men and can be as simple as having the deceased buried in his favorite jersey and asking attendees to wear the regalia of his favorite team, or it can go a bit further with a coffin in the team's colors and stadium style music. A themed funeral can be used to suit the tastes of anyone with a hobby or strong passion. A variety of custom and decorated caskets are available to match the interests of the deceased.
Vehicle Burials
-
If the deceased has a favorite car or motorcycle, being asked to be buried along with it is a common request. Requests have been made to be buried behind the wheel or seated on their bike. Laws require that bodies must be placed inside a sealed container for burial. So, such funerals do require that a crate or other container be built to house the deceased and his vehicle before burial. Another option is to simply feature the vehicle in the funeral procession.

Parties and Cruises
-
For those seeking a funeral service that focuses on the positive, services that celebrate the life of the deceased are an option. A simple party or a private cruise still gives friends the chance to say goodbye without being overwhelmed by sadness, whether it is one last gathering with his drinking buddies or send-off by his fellow Elk Lodge or Masonic Temple members. For the nautical man, a cruise makes an especially fitting ceremony for someone who requests that his ashes be dumped at sea.
Unique Burial Locations
-
If the deceased would prefer not to spend all of eternity in a cemetery there are other options. Cremation offers the ability to have the deceased's ashes dumped in one or more locations or preserved in the home. Burial at sea, which is legal in certain areas makes for a unique service especially for fishermen, sailors and others who love the sea.
