Ideas for Asking a Guy to the Prom
The prom can be a huge part of a student's high school experience. With all the shopping and decision making, it can be a stressful time for some. Choosing the perfect prom date is a high priority. Girls are becoming more assertive and taking the initiative instead of waiting for the guy to ask them. You don't have to make it elaborate, but you want to try to make it original for you.

Culinary Creations

As some mothers may say, "The best way to get a man is through his stomach." Although we may cringe at the thought, our mothers may have a point. If you know his favorite pizza place or favorite dish, you can invite him over and write "Will you go to the prom with me?" or even just "Prom?" on the dish. For example, if his favorite pizza topping is pepperoni you can write the message with that. If he likes cookies you can write your message out the coookie with frosting. This will show him that you know what he likes, and when he says yes you can discuss details of the prom while you enjoy a delicious meal.
Locker Message
-
If you are a little shy and do not want to ask your guy to the prom face to face, you can try writing a hand made invitation or note and slip it into his locker during the day. If you have a favorite perfume you can spray a little on the note as well. To make it stand out, try using bright or neon paper to catch his attention. Write his name in big, bold letters on the envelope. If your locker is nearby you can wait and see his reaction and then when he reads it you can ask him again in person after he reads it.

Sports Equipment
-
If your guy plays sports, or is a huge sports fan, try to incorporate that into your invitation. You can tape a note or invitation on a piece of his sports equipment. If you can't get into the locker room to do this, enlist the help of a friend who can. Try to incorporate the sport into the invitation. For example, if he is a baseball player attach the note to his glove with the message "You're a great catch," or "Here's a pitch for you." The idea is use a little creativity and have fun when asking the guy.
Map it Out
-
If you want a little mystery with the invitation, try making a map of various places throughout school or your neighborhood. You can send him places where you two have mutual interests and then the at final stop you can ask him. If you do this at school you can give him hints throughout the day and then talk to him at the end of the day. You want to make this personal and unique so he knows the effort you put into this for him.
