Prank & Practical Joke Ideas
Pranks and practical jokes can take place anywhere. Whether you're at home or in public, an act of mischief can give you, onlookers and even your target a few laughs. Avoid high jinks that can cause property damage or harm. Pranks are funnier when they don't end with police reports and lawsuits.

Food Pranks
-
Buy a new carton of eggs and boil all of them. Stick the eggs back into the carton to confuse other members of your household. Don't waste the eggs; put them to practical use after the prank is over.
Food coloring also offers a variety of practical joke opportunities. For example, you can change the color of your roommate's milk.
Car Pranks
-
Cover your friend's car with Post-it notes. Leave messages on each note. Alternatively, you can write a single letter on each slip of paper to spell out a bigger message. Substitute Post-it notes with plastic wrap. If you bring enough sheets, you can wrap your friend's entire vehicle in plastic. These pranks may take some time, so ask a group of friends to help you. For a quick practical joke, tape bubble wrap to the tires of the car. When the car starts moving, the popping sound will startle the driver. Put the bubble wrap on the passenger side wheels, where the driver may not notice it.

Computer Pranks
-
If you have the time, you can create a fake desktop to fool your peers. On the real desktop, create a variety of folders with funny names. Take a screen shot and set the image as the desktop wallpaper. This will fool the user into thinking that the folders embedded in the background are part of the real desktop. For a quicker prank, find two computers that are close together. Switch the mouse cables so that the mouse on the right computer controls the computer on the left and vice versa. Do the same with the keyboards. The next two people to use those computers will find that they are controlling each other's desktops.
Household Pranks
-
Crack eggs and empty the contents into a soap dispenser; the result is unpleasant but not harmful. Place a bucket of ping-pong balls between a doorframe and the top of a door. The next person to enter the room will discover a rain of ping-pong balls. But remember, don't fall for your own trap.
