Herbal Hair Loss Products
Hair loss is one of the most common complications and enigmas---at least when it comes to finding a cure. Although scientific ways and treatments can counter the problem, most of these require a lot of attention, time and money. Herbal cures and natural products are one of the alternative strategies used in countering hair loss. These products are designed to be applied on the scalp or taken like a regular pill. Does this Spark an idea?

Herbal Shampoo
-
The most typical herbal hair loss products are shampoos. These products are just like normal shampoos you use every day, except their ingredients are 100 percent herbal and help in cleansing the scalp and enhancing the health of hair follicles. These also contains special herbal ingredients, including nettle, rosemary, sage, tea tree, witch hazel and yarrow, which deeply clean the scalp and hair follicles. Some---like nettle---are natural products that directly counter the proliferation of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which is the enzyme responsible for Male Pattern Baldness or Androgenetic alopecia.
Supplementary Tablets
-
Hair loss reduction tablets contain natural products to keep hair healthy, enhance hair follicles and supplement the body with the necessary ingredients to prevent hair loss. These also keep the scalp moisturized, preventing dandruff and thinning of hair. Some ingredients in these tablets include acidum floricum, acidum phosphoricum, arsenicum album, calcarea phosporica and badiaga.

DHT Blockers
-
Aside from tablets that serve as supplements to maintain the overall health of hair and scalp, another tablet known as a "DHT blocker" is specifically designed to counter the prevalence of DHT in a human's body. These blockers work by actively countering alpha-5 reductase enzymes, which turn testosterone to DHT. Alpha-5 reductase is produced naturally by a male's body, especially in the prostate, skin and seminal vesicles. DHT blockers prevent alpha-5 reductase in combining with regular testosterone, thus reducing the amount of DHT in a human's body.
Some of the ingredients contained in natural DHT blockers include saw palmetto berries, gotu kola, pumpkin seed meal and vitamin B6. Today's market offers several DHT blockers and their formulation depends on the producer, some of them having at least 17 different ingredients designed to reduce DHT in the body. DHT blockers are usually designed to work hand in hand with hair loss shampoos.
Serums and Gels
-
Hair loss serums and gels also contain the same ingredients in shampoos and tablets, but these products are designed to be applied and left on the scalp and hair for maximum effect. They usually come as supplementary products for hair loss tablets and DHT blockers, cleansing the scalp and keeping your current hair healthy.
Considerations in Buying Natural Hair Loss Products
-
A lot of herbal hair loss products are available, and most of them claim they can help in hair loss prevention; however, some of these products, although claiming to be 100 percent natural, contain chemicals. When searching for a product, look for ones without glycol, propyparaben, distearate, and cetearyl and isopropyl alcohol. These are synthetic chemicals that some companies include in their "natural" hair loss product. Some of these herbal hair loss products are also designed specifically for males or females, so ask about its formulation before purchasing.
