Audiobahn Immortal Specifications

Audiobahn Immortal Specifications thumbnail
The Audiobahn Immortal series are high-end subwoofers.

The Aubiobahn Immortal series subwoofers are specifically designed for competition environments. The subwoofers in this series can handle over 2,000 watts of continuous power with their quad 2 ohm voice coils. The featured design elements include a strontium magnet and proprietary tall excursion foam surrounds. These features help to ensure maximum cone excursion and subwoofer efficiency.

  1. Features

    • The proprietary tall excursion foam surround on the Audiobahn Immortal series subwoofers allow for a maximum excursion of 14/5 and maximum cone surface area. The subwoofer is constructed of ultra light 2-layer carbon fiber, Kevlar cone with an aluminum dust cap. The triple-stacked Strontium magnet is 200 ounces. The chrome plated 3-dimensional cast aluminum basket and the 25 millimeter top plate offer increased efficiency. The quad 2 Ohm voice coils are wound on a black anodized aluminum former.

    AWIS15J Specifications

    • The Audiobahn Immortal series is produced in two different models. The AWIS15J measures 15 inches and has a power handling of 2250 RMS. The frequency response ranges from 20 to 700 hertz. The efficiency has been measured at 97 decibels. The mounting measures 9 and 5/8 inches. The hole cutout measures 13 and 3/4 inches and the outer diameter is measured at 15 and 1/4 inches. The magnet weight and voice coil performance specifications are standard for the Immortal series.

    AWIS12J

    • The Audiobahn Immortal series subwoofer AWIS12J measures 12 inches and has a power handling of 2,000 RMS. The frequency response ranges from 23 to 700 hertz. The efficiency has been measured at 95 decibels. The mounting measures 8 and 5/8 inches. The hole cutout measures 10 and 7/8 inches and the outer diameter is measured at 12 and 1/4 inches. The magnet weight and voice coil performance specifications are standard for the Immortal series.

    Cone and Backplate

    • Ultra-light laminated carbon fiber Kevlar and an aluminum dust cap are used to construct a cone that is both rigid and lightweight. This design allows the cone to travel easily with the same amount of power. Extra pressure and sound are a result of this design. The bumped back-plate allows the cone to travel further, increasing air displacement, which leads to increased sound pressure levels. Each of these design features are needed for competition subwoofers, as high efficiency is crucial in this sort of environment.
