Medical Simulation Flash Games
Simulations can be an extremely useful training tool. High-quality simulations offer individuals an opportunity to attempt something that may be dangerous in real life with no risk. Some simulations, however, are primarily intended for fun. Medical simulation games offer players a chance to perform a wide variety of medically-oriented tasks, such as performing brain surgery.

Edheads is an online educational resource featuring a number of different activities. The medical simulations from Edheads include "Virtual Knee Surgery," "Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery," "Virtual Hip Replacement" and "Virtual Hip Resurfacing." Each of these simulations takes the player through all of the steps to perform each operation. For example, "Virtual Knee Surgery" begins with examining the patient's chart to see if he is ready to undergo surgery and then moves on to examining X-rays to determine which knee needs surgery. The simulation takes the player step-by-step from the initial incision to sawing the bone, inserting an artificial knee and finally closing the incision.
