    • As a wedding planner, you'll be dealing with all sorts of people from all walks of life. Communication is a necessity when making reservations, negotiating prices, coordinating activities, and most importantly when dealing with your clients and making their day as special as possible. You also want to present yourself in a professional manner and being able to communicate efficiently and eloquently will allow you to promote yourself and your trade. Interpersonal skills are a key part of any professional career.

    • The hospitality field is an excellent concentration for a wedding planner, considering you will be providing your clients with a range of services and making sure they are completely satisfied with their investment. Wedding planners may sometimes have to deal with difficult clients who aren't easily pleased, and hospitality majors learn to deal with such situations in a delicate manner.
