Tropical Funeral Flowers
When we think of funeral arrangements, tropical isn't what typically comes to mind. By using tropical colors to highlight earth tones, a tropical flower arrangement can be used to express a deep and generous tribute to a lost loved one. Orange, yellow and red flowers are used to create a dignified and respectable arrangement.

Yellow Asiatic Lilies

White lilies symbolize the restoration of innocence after death and expresses sympathy, majesty and purity as well as resurrection and life. Asiatic lilies have a small flower head and are typically used as a spray or as the base of a flower arrangement. Many different types of lilies are sought after for funeral arrangements, because of their fragrant aroma and different colors and sizes. Asiatic lilies are used more as a backdrop or base, because of their small size.
Orange Orchids

The color orange symbolizes energy and warmth while orchids stand for love and beauty. Orchids are available in a variety of colors; however, an orange orchid not only adds a tropical feel and fresh outlook to the arrangement, but it gives the arrangement depth, richness and warmth. Orange mixed with red creates a nice transition from the yellows.

Gladiolus flowers symbolize strength of character and signify remembrance while red expresses passion. Gladiolus are typically used around the edges of a funeral arrangement because of their height. Red gladiolus add a deep tropical color that's eye-catching. An arrangement using gladiolus is typically be one-sided with the gladiolus being displayed near the top back of the arrangement. The red blends well with the orange and yellows of the other flowers, creating a deep, rich color spray.
Yellow Chrysanthemums

Chrysanthemums symbolize fidelity and joy while yellow expresses friendship and new beginnings. Traditionally, chrysanthemums have been used to symbolize death, making them an appropriate addition to a any arrangement. Chrysanthemums are available in a variety of colors; however, choosing the yellow chrysanthemum is the wisest choice for a tropical arrangement. A single chrysanthemum resembles a daisy. Choosing yellow will combine the rest of the arrangement with the yellow Asiatic lily base; however, you also could choose to use burgundy or tan for this arrangement or a combination.
