Find the perfect gift for your favorite nurse.

Nurses need to care for all kinds of people. Combine this useful knowledge with a nurse's individual personality to hone the choices down to something a little more personalized. Also, nurses have different needs depending on the type of nursing they do and their daily routine. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Hospital Nurses

    • Nurses who work at hospitals are typically on their feet for most if not all of their entire shift. Gifts that can make them as comfortable as possible during their shifts would be greatly appreciated. These gifts can include new, comfy shoes or a soft pair of scrubs. If the recipient has a sense of humor you can offer seasonal or comical scrubs with whimsical cartoons.

    Nurses with Offices

    • If your nurse has his own office, or at least his own desk, you can give his office supplies that may make his life a bit easier. A gift card to office supply stores can prove helpful. Paperweights with inspirational messages can help keep the nurse in a good mood, even on tough days. Picture frames for the desk will keep the nurse smiling when he fills the frame with a picture and proudly displays it on his desk.

    Home Nurses

    • Nurses that spend the majority of their time at one patient's house will often find themselves with a lot of downtime, thus any gift that can make this time go more easily will benefit them greatly. You don't want to give them anything too distracting as they're still in need of their senses, but books would do just fine. If your nurse likes puzzles you can offer a crossword or a logic puzzle book. A simple handheld computer game such as solitaire or poker may be appreciated as well.

    Traveling Nurses

    • Traveling nurses often finding themselves on the road for a good portion of their daily routine. Gifts that can make their car ride either more enjoyable will help them out. You can gift them CDs or digital music gift cards to help them keep their playlist fresh. A back massager that can be remotely activated in the driver's seat would make their drive a bit more comfortable.
