A favorite activity for birthday parties for girls is a sleepover. Girls like to be together for long periods of time and love to stay awake until the sun rises. If you decide to host a sleep over, be sure to have projects and activities to keep the girls busy. Have them decorate T-shirts with iron-on decals and letters, fabric paint, glitter glue sequins and beads. Or let them decorate pillowcases with fabric pens. Be sure to have a couple of the newest, cool DVDs to watch as well as plenty of snacks.

They may have special party packages that allow for shoe rentals as well as bowling for a certain number of games or hours. A camping party might be held in your backyard or at a park nearby that allows overnight stays. Camping parties offer guests and the birthday girl an opportunity to cook hot dogs over a campfire, roast marshmallows for s'mores, tell scary ghost stories, sing songs and set up tents.
