A teenager will have a great time celebrating her birthday with a glow-in-the-dark party.

There are many themes that a parent can use when making a party for her teenager. Glow-in-the-dark is one theme that adds fun and excitement to a party. To create a glow-in-the-dark party, purchase items that glow in the dark or that create the effect of glowing in the dark. Set up fun activities that work with the theme to keep the kids busy and having a good time. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Glow Necklaces and Bracelets

    • In order to create a glow-in-the-dark look, the room will need to be dark. Purchase different-colored glow-in-the-dark necklaces and bracelets for the kids at the party to wear. Hand the necklaces out to the kids as soon as they come to the party. The teens will have fun finding each other in the dark just by the glow of the necklaces and bracelets.

    Disco Ball

    • The party needs to have music and dancing to liven it up. Purchase or borrow a disco ball and place it up on the ceiling in middle of the party room. The teenagers will enjoy experiencing the lights flashing over them and viewing the spots of light spinning around the walls of the room.

    White T-shirt Drawing

    • This activity is great for kids to do at the party. Purchase white large T-shirts and glow-in-the-dark highlighters. Hand out T-shirts to all the kids at the party and put highlighters on a side table in the room. Have the kids write things and draw pictures on the back of their friends' shirts. The shirts will all glow in the dark and the kids will have fun reading what is written on all their friends' shirts.

    Freeze Dance

    • Turn the dancing into a fun competition. Assign a teenager to turn on and off the lights at random times. Everyone else at the party will have to dance while the lights are off and stop dancing or freeze when the light is turned on. The teens that are caught dancing when the light turns on are out of the game. The objective of the game is to be the last kid remaining in the game who was not caught dancing when the lights were turned on.
