Fun Games for Christian Teens

Fun Games for Christian Teens thumbnail
Christian teens can play fun games at church or at home with friends.

Games are a great way to teach teenagers about Christian values while having fun. Games will also help the teens get to know each other and build a strong Christian faith. Awarding prizes, such as small Bibles or Bible covers, to game winners will keep the teens interested in future games and entice them to play along.

  1. Back-to-Back Blocks

    • Have two teens sit back-to-back, and place an identical set of blocks in front of each. One teen gives the instructions as he builds a tower, and the other teen has to create the same tower listening to his partner's commands. If the towers match when they finish building them, they each earn a prize. This game teaches the teens that the unseen Holy Spirit guides them if only they listen.

    Bible Books Memory

    • Write down all the books -- 66 of them -- of the Bible on separate index cards, such as one for the Book of Matthew and one for the Book of Romans. Practice the books of the Bible with the teenagers before playing this game. Hold up one card to the teens, and ask who can name the books that come immediately before and after the book named on the index card. Any teen who can do so earns a prize. The Bible books memory game teaches the teenagers to know and remember the books of the Bible.

    Christian Word Game

    • Print or write the word "Christian," on top of several pieces of paper. Hand out one piece of paper to each teen. When you say, "Go," the teens must write down as many words as they can using only the letters of the word "Christian." Give the teens two minutes. After two minutes, the teen who wrote down the most correct words wins a prize. Award an extra prize to the teen who comes up with the most Bible-related words, such as Christ or sin.

    Bible Word Search

    • Make a large Bible word search online or on your computer. For example, use words and phrases such as "escape," "golden rule," "New Jerusalem" and "faithful." Divide the teens into teams of two and give each teen a word search. Hand out the word searches face down. When you say, "Go," the teens work with their partners to find the Bible words. The first team that correctly completes the word search wins the game.
