Hen Night Present Ideas
A hen night, or hen party, is a party given for a woman who is soon to be married. Hen night takes after the bachelor party, which is traditionally a party given for a bridegroom soon before his wedding, and is essentially a "bachelorette" party. Hen night, like the bachelor party, has a reputation for being a night of wild fun, but it can also be just a quiet party with good friends and thoughtful presents.

Thank-You Notes
-
Thank-you notes are a very practical gift for a bride-to-be, especially if she plans to have a lot of guests at the wedding. Stationery can be expensive, especially on top of all the wedding costs already accrued. Plain cards with a neutral tone -- black, white, ivory -- are appropriate, but you can choose more decorative cards if you are familiar with the bride's tastes. Supplement the cards with postage if desired. Stationery and stamps may not be the most exciting hen night gift, but the hen will probably appreciate them.
Engraved Champagne Glasses
-
Engraved champagne glasses are a gift to cherish. You could have the bride and groom's names and the wedding date engraved. If the couple has a favorite song, poem or Scripture, you could have a few of the verses engraved. Since hen night precedes the wedding, the bride and groom could toast with these glasses at the reception.

Album and Photographs
-
Buy a nice photo album and volunteer to be the official photographer for hen night. You can wrap the album for the hen to open with other gifts, including a note that the pictures to fill it with will follow shortly. The wedding is not the only day to cherish. Capture the moments she shares with her favorite gal pals. Take care to include all of the guests in photos so the bride-to-be has a record of all the people who shared this special night with her. Take a picture of the cake, too.
Bubble Bath and Bottle of Wine
-
A bubble bath and a bottle of wine make a great gift combination. The bride-to-be can enjoy some suds and Shiraz on her own and decompress from the demands of wedding planning. Or, she may choose to save the bubble bath and wine to enjoy with her groom on the honeymoon. If the bride does not drink wine, you could substitute a box of gourmet chocolates or other candies.
