Baked Goods
-
Give the teacher in question a sweet treat with homemade cookies, cupcakes or bread. If possible, help your child decorate the cookies or cupcakes. Present the items in a nice gift box that is also decorated by your child; she can write messages of gratitude and what she loves most about the class on the box. As a thoughtful gesture, pair the bread with homemade jam or butter.
Card
-
A card is a simple craft that any child can make for a teacher. Help your child use craft supplies to decorate the front and inside of the card, as well as write a note to the teacher if he can't write himself. Join in on the fun and make a card to the teacher from you. Express the impact that he has had on your kids' education. Your heartfelt words will be a perfect gift for any teacher to receive.

A Unique Bouquet
-
Turn pencils into a beautiful bouquet for your child's teacher. To make, gather together a pack of pencils, hair scrunchies, green craft foam, clay pot, beans, a hole punch and craft scissors. Fill the clay pot with the beans (black beans work well as imitation dirt). Wrap one or two scrunchies a few times around the end of the pencil. Cut out a few leaves from craft foam and punch a hole in one end of the leaves. Slide the leaves onto the pencil just underneath the scrunchies. Repeat with the other pencils and arrange them in the clay pot. This creative gift will look great sitting on the teacher's desk.
Bookmark
-
Use craft paper to make a bookmark for your child's teacher. You will also need ribbon or yarn and a hole punch. Have your child color the bookmark or write the top five things your child loves about her teacher on it; once finished, punch a hole in the bookmark's top and string a length of ribbon or yarn through it. If desired, you can laminate the bookmark so it will last longer. For more advanced crafters, papier mache and fabric are also materials that can be used to decorate the bookmark.
