Romantic Ideas to Do for a Spouse
When you are married you need to do things to spice up the relationship and keep it fresh. Doing romantic things for your spouse is one way to do this. You are married so you know a lot about each other, like what your spouse's favorite things are. Use this to your advantage to do nice, romantic things often.
-
Massage
-
Give your spouse a spontaneous massage. If he has been having a hard week at work and putting in long hours, when he gets home have a bottle of massage oil and rub his sore muscles. This is something that can help you two connect even more and will also help him relax. Since you have the bottle of massage oil you can make this a surprise you do often for him. If you cannot give a massage for some reason, hire a masseuse to come in and you two can get a private couple's massage.
Favorite Flowers
-
While a bouquet of roses is romantic and thoughtful, sending a bouquet of your wife's favorite flowers shows that you pay attention to little things she loves. Have them delivered to her work during the middle of the day for no reason at all, just to tell her that you love her. This may be just the pick-me-up she needs at work and it will make her even more excited to come home to see you.

Love Story
-
Write a love story about how you two met. Then have the story printed and bound. If you know someone who can illustrate, get the book illustrated like a classic fairy tale, especially if you two have a fairy tale-like story. Present the book to him and read it together to relive all of your first moments together.
Weekend Away
-
Surprise your spouse and plan a weekend away. Go somewhere that is not your typical setting, like going to a secluded countryside if you live in a big city. Make reservations at a classy hotel that has room service and other amenities you know she will enjoy. Just tell her you have a surprise for her, but don't tell her where you are going, just what time she needs to be ready and the kind of weather it will be in case you do some sightseeing.
Favorite Meal
-
One night while your spouse is out, take the opportunity to make his favorite meal for him. Then he can come home to a nice meal you two can share together. Another option is to tell him you are going out and then having someone come into your home and cook for you. This way neither of you has to worry about any little details and can just enjoy each other's company.
