Valentine's Day Crafts & Gifts
Valentine's Day is a fun day for getting crafty, whether you are a child or an adult. You can use the crafts to decorate your home, or give them away as gifts to your friends and loved ones. Most Valentine crafts are made from paper, making them cheap and easy to make.

Puffy Heart
-
Cut out a heart from heavy card stock or cardboard. Cut or tear white, pink and red tissue paper into 1-inch squares. Cover the heart with a thin layer of white glue. Twist the pieces of paper using a pencil eraser and place it on the glue. You can make a pattern with the tissue paper colors or simply add them randomly on the heart.
Valentine Coupons
-
Make up coupons to give to your loved ones. The coupons can be chores that you will do that you know the recipient hates doing, or they can be for fun things such as massages, treats or a date night. For adults, make romantic or sexy coupons. Simply cut pieces of paper or card stock into rectangles and write your coupons on the front. For example, "This coupon good for ONE BACK RUB". Decorate it with markers or stickers. Place your coupons into a decorated envelope or box to give to your loved one.

Gift Bags
-
If you have a gift to give, but no way to wrap it, make your own gift bag. These tiny bags are perfect for a piece of jewelry, a few chocolates or some other small gift. Purchase tiny single-serving cereal boxes and take out the cereal. Cut off the flaps at the top and wrap the box in Valentine gift wrap or scrapbook paper. Punch a few holes in the top and thread string through it for handles. If you have a larger gift, you can use a full size cereal or other box.
Conversation Heart Wreath
-
Purchase a styrofoam wreath at the craft store and cover it with fabric. Valentine-theme fabric can be purchased at most craft stores or fabric stores. You can also simply use a solid color fabric of your choice. Use a hot glue gun to secure the fabric. Purchase a bag of conversation hearts and glue them to the fabric-covered wreath. Be sure that you can see the words and phrases on the hearts. Use small and large hearts to give it more visual interest. Cover the front and sides of the wreath with the hearts; leave the back empty so it hangs flush with the wall or door. Hang it on a nail or hook.
